I definitely think the lead times steer people away, however many like to get the discounted prices from the market place because the price is hard for many.

I have adjusted to the wait although wait times on regular lights haven't been too bad lately. But it does seem to be a royal pain for hogo to constantly have to fight with the shops.

I just sent the link to this thread to my buddy that owns a machine shop. I've had him do work for me in the past and he's always spot-on. I'm a five part per order kind of customer. He does it all and I've never had a problem. Hopefully he contacts you.

I'll be happy to talk with any shop that wants our business. Anyone who is interested... [email protected]

I would say many of the shops that HDS has dealt with are **** poorly managed. Some that were well managed... management changed!

We have looked at doing it in house though our numbers just are not there yet...

50k/yr in NY, Sounds low.

I was thinking yesterday how it would be nice for hds to do it in house, but thought it wouldn't be an option

50k in NYC is low(still doable), the price to live really drops outside the city though, and the state itself is bigger than the entire country of France.

Ummm- this is way off.
New York State is 54,556 square miles
France is 248,573 square miles
France is quite a bit larger than New York State.
Sorry this veers is way off topic... TO THE HDS-MOBILE!!

My wife and I just returned from a weekend getaway out of town. If we had had any more fun, we probably would have ended up in prison for one reason or another. Despite the raucous good time, my High Noon Rotary made the trip even more enjoyable. It was my constant companion, lighting dimly lit restaurant menus, finding missing items under tables, creeping dimly with me around the hotel room late at night, and clearing the way for safely crossing busy intersections.

I took the Hound Dog 18650 with me in case SHTF, but never needed it. This 200 lumen rotary was more than sufficient. What a great tool!

I m not quite that bad but my girlfriend gives me funny looks when I m using the HDS for whatever. Recently it's been on mosquito hunting duty but could do with a bigger hotspot in this case. The hound dog would be nice but I m pretty well covered for the distance I need.
Any news on that thrower head that's being made for the HDS?

Not nyc. Upstate ny. But ya you go anywhere near the big apple and cost goes WAY up.

I don't know how I made the mistake of thinking France was that small, my bad. I must've been thinking of some other country. There's a few(23 in Europe according to wikipedia) that are smaller than NY though.

I go through life speaking out of my *** with the confidence that I 100% know what I'm talking about. I am often wrong.

Probably going to look to sell my 4000k 219c rotary. I carry the titanium with me everywhere and the 219c is gathering dust.

Edit: wishing I went with a 4000k led for my titanium light, the SW45k is just a tad too white/pink for my eyes at night. Absolutely loved the tint of the 219C 4000k light.

My Brother in Law talks out of his bottom 100% of the time, he knows everything about everything and he 's always right.
I find it very difficult to speak to him.

I'm almost always glad to be proven wrong. It's humbling and reminds me to think a bit before I speak.

I read that post, and in my mind I went "France is way bigger. That can't be true. Can it??" And away I went to look it up and see what was what.

For those who like the High Noon, or for those who are considering one... there are only 7 left.

As much as I love my NB45, the High Noon as usurped its title as my grail emitter. At the very least, its definitely worth a spot in your rotation.

Never thought I d see that coming! Kinda wish I d had the high noon in the Titanium as opposed to the 325 xpg3 but the tint on the 325 is surprisingly close to the high noon. 🤔

Henry and I pulled our emitters (the ones for our brass, bronze, and titanium lights). Henry is doing all High Noons for his, and I'm doing High Noon for my titanium, NLT for bronze, and the rosy 4500 for the brass. The brass and bronze will be indoor lights... shelf queens, and yes... Henry and I haven't even made our own lights yet!
