Well then I'll probably be getting the same rev 3, as I ordered on Friday. That kinda sucks, as that high-then-low UI that they are advertising was the main reason I ordered that model. :scowl:
Edit: Got mine, and yep it starts on low. :(
I just ordered this one: http://countycomm.com/aaapolish.html because it says twist on for high then again for low, so I'm assuming that's the UI. I'll update once I have received the light. It will be my first Maratac.
AA, pure flood, neutral tint and 25 lumens just about describes the perfect edc light for me. Definitely do not want to miss out on this like I did the Mako flood.
I have the old "150" lumen version, which only has one mode. How are the two modes in this version accessed? And is the beam still very narrow or is there more spill now?
Thanks in advance for any answers, I did not know about this new version.
Don't know the exact measurement specs, but my AW "safe chemistry" orange label LiMN 14500's are shorter than the standard black label 14500's with the protection circuit, and thus fit more comfortably in my Minis whereas the black labels have a very snug/tight fit that I'm not comfortable with.
Mine has a slight greenish tint, too. As I've mostly moved on to warm tints (Quarks), I don't really use the MC10. I really like the UI and form factor, though.
I edc my quark AA-tactical warm with a 14500. I mainly use the "high" mode, but I love that I can also use the "max" mode that would otherwise require the AA^2.
Are you talking about the MiNi series, perhaps? Because the AA/AA^2/123 Quark head is designed to handle the voltage of a li-ion cell. They even sell AW 14500's on their website. I love using my Quark AA's with a 14500.
Wow that's embarrassing, don't know how I missed that on the first page. :ohgeez:
Anyways, definitely sold on this model, just gotta decide if I can wait out for the neutral white version...
