Definetly my olight tc15ss, one of the cheaper lights i own. But its my favorite pocketlight.
-Stainles steel, so no worries about dropping it.
-Nice and shiney.
-Modded with hcri xpg.
-Nice beam balanced between throw and flood.
-Runs of aa's, so easy spares.
I just bought a lumensfactory 3mode high cri d26 led p60 led module. With 90cri collor rendering is verry good !
And at 1 amp drive current a lot of light.
Im carry'ing a olight tc15ss with a warm white xpg and a 800ma multi mode driver. Its a bit heavy because its stainles steel, but it can take a serious beating.
This thing is with me day and night, even when i'm out during the day, you never know when you need it.
Iv got an solitaire with ledupgrade on my keychain, and romissen rc-g2 with an xml and 700ma driver in my left pocket.
The rommisen is going to be replaced as soon as my olight tc15ss and warm white xpg are in.
Ik run one of those in a 2d maglite. got it running on 6 aa 2500mAh nimh's in series. It runs for an hour.
So running 6series 2parralel you should get about two hours.
Iv got a rc-g2 that i modded with a ssc p4. The driver has been swapped for a multimode one that supplies 700mA to the led on high.
This thing works briliantly. But on my quest of making this a pocket rocket i decided to convert it to xml t6.
With the p4 its nice and floody but stil has a good...
For me its a Romisen Rc-g2 that i modded. I thought it had to little flood, so i put in a ssc p4 and fitted a multi-mode 700mA driver to increase output.
This thing is always in my bag and has more than enough light for just about any application i use it for.
Just for fun i was thinking of...
I solderd an xml that way once, its doable but you really need to secure the wires somewhere near the emitter.
If you dont do that those little soldering pads may come off.
