Last chance...Anymore updates you think is needed?

DriverVN3 – Rear Clicky Switch

Prospective improvement
1. New 7135 true moonlight mode
2. Turbo timer default at 5 minutes, ramp down 1 level only
3. Add true low voltage power cut off at ~ 3V for unprotected cells
4. Easy on off thermal sensor option if available
5. Default thermal setting set
6. Voltage check function
7. As short as possible memory/no memory time
8. Change the current 8 presses to enter programming mode to 10 presses but make it less quickly
9. Mode spacing will be adjusted for more visually linear

Mode Groups

1. 100 (Great for gun lights or aspheric spotter)

Lots of 2 mode group because most people like their light simple for real work
3. 5 - 100 | Memory
4. 5 - 100 | No Memory
5. 100 - 5 | No Memory
6. 25 - 100 | Memory
7. 25 - 100 | No Memory
8. 100 - 25 | No Memory
9. 50 - 100 | Memory
10. 50 - 100 | No Memory
11. 100 - 50 | No Memory

3 mode group are popular for the general
12. ML - 25 - 100 | Memory
13. ML - 25 - 100 | No Memory
14. 100 - 25 - ML | No Memory (DEFAULT group because it's simple and it turns on at High, How a V54 should be ;-)
15. 25 - 100 - ML | No Memory (Some people use Medium the most)

4 mode group
16. ML - 1 – 20 - 50 - 100 | No Memory
17. 100 - 50 – 20 - 1 - ML | No Memory

Too many modes for me but not enough for others
18. ML - 1 – 5 - 15 - 50 - 100 | No Memory
19. 100 - 50 - 15 - 5 – 1 - ML | No Memory

Tactical/LEO

Vinh, who's the electrical designer of these drivers? Any chance of a buck/boost driver in the near future?

You almost need a double algorithm
I.e.
1. enter basic mode
With 3-5 options for the majority of us
2. Enter advanced mode that unlocks the crazy requests for 40 different options

:)

As I said programming space are limited. DriverVN3 and X3 are not meant to be complicated. There will be something else for that.

If there is no other changes you guys want to see to the mode groups of DriverVN3 I will push forward. And we can continue to DriverVNX3.

The modes seem good to me. You'll never have exactly what everyone wants, it seems it should satisfy most needs.

Will there or is there going to be some kind of lock out Vinh, example on the tk75vnQ lights where you have to unscrew the tail cap 3+ turns due to carrier.

Cheers:)

I see several groups here that I really dig, depending on the light and circumstances. I like the 10 taps to change groups. I like that there's a 100% only mode for my gunlight/ mega thrower, and moonlight in the groups I would use for an edc. I like the voltage cut off and voltage check. Very nice! You'll have my business with this solid driver

If you really need a lockout, removing the battery should work.

 like it

I lock all my lights out when not in use, most are an easy 1/8th turn of the tail cap. But lights with carriers and like the tk75 with drivervnx2, only lock out is undoing the tail cap a good few turns(shows O ring) . For a side click on these high powered lights with vinhs drivers it would be convenient to lock out on the button. Maybe it's just me

I like the ML-2-25-100 group from the original DriverVN. I also like the idea of a low to medium only group, maybe ML-5-30. All with no memory.
