I don't think my E1 has a removeable clip. It seems to be a rivet. I'm off to the workshop to find a key small enough...

I had the E1-HA for three days. I exchanged it for an E1-GM because at the time, there were (and still are) very few E1's let alone the GM version in the UK. I will be getting a new E1-HA soon.

Odd, they must have made some E1's with out the removeable clip. both of mine are removeable with an allen wrench. I took one off but my wife left hers on.
