Here's one from work about two people who would argue viciously - don't know where it originated:

"Lock them both in a room, throw in a dead goat, and see which one comes out."

The reason most of us don't live within our income, is that we don't consider that living.

A budget tells us what we can afford, but it doesn't keep us from buying it.

Money remains the same, it is merely the pockets that change.

The whole problem with civilization is that we've been trying to squeeze the mind into the brain and it won't fit.

It's still embarrassing—I asked my caddie for a sand wedge and ten minutes later he came back with a ham on rye!?

Just some interesting quotes I've come across from various individuals that I cannot recall at the moment. . .and since we here LOVE bright things then the finances really comes into play here with the above quotes. (Except the last two!)

Here are some cynical ones for ya:

"Hell is other people" Jean Paul Sartre

"What do you expect from a day that you have to wake up in the morning?" from a short answer reply in a high school standardized test I graded at an old job

"Being conscious is exhausting." Me

But to leave you on a cheerier note, trite as it may be:

"We are the Musicmakers, and we are the dreamers of dreams" Willy Wonka (Gene Wilder) in the GOOD version of Chocolate Factory.

Honestly, most of my favorite things I have ever heard come from RedVsBlue. Here are a few of my absolute favorites

"Get ready to open fire! Today is a great day to Die!" -- Sarge; RedVsBlue

"Sarge, we need to get Grif airlifted out of here!"
"Could you put that in a memo, and entitle sh!t I already know?!!" -- Sarge; RvB

"Doctors actually fix people, medics just make them feel better while they die." -- Doc; RvB

This list could go on for a Long Long time.

In all but a few things, I have difficulty in applying the term "favorite" to matters. However, there is a quote that bears a favored position of significance for me. It offers sense of why things are as they are, why injustices, cruelty, and hatred are so common, and why the most positive efforts of man so often meets failure. Fortunately, it's only a temporary situation.

"My kingdom is not of this world...." - The Christ.
