I just thought you might want to know that the new P3D Rebel 100 does not do this at all! I received mine today and expected it to act just as my P2D CE, but to my suprise it didn't.

I don't understand why you were surprised; as the posts in this thread make clear, the P3D CE has never done this, while the other, lower voltage Digitals do.

As for the annoyance factor, I hate, hate, hate the way my L1D CE flashes into low, and as such I don't use it for anything other then turbo-class tasks.

So the question to ask is, will the new Rebel Digitals such as the P2D RB have the flash? I'd pre-order a P2D RB in a heartbeat if I knew that there were no flash. But it's a deal-breaker for me, it's that distracting (to me; apparently not to others).
