Pfffft. Only to those who only THINK they know what good beer is. :)

Traditionally, the folks from out of state bring expensive trinkets to share with the other attendees.

Then think of me as a returning resident :D

I'm going to come after all. I'll be riding with Jimh and if possible sleeping in my tent in his RV site. Will this be in compliance with the rules and regs of Ghost mountain. Or if its not too late and there not too far away, one of those rustic camp sites will work just fine. thanks and looking forward. Is anyone in this group into Microtechs as well. Just trying to figure out if i should bust out the customs for you guys.

Re: **Update**Ghost MTN/Tahoe Check in/Roll call

Knifebright,

I will check on Tuesday and hopefully know what is best. I think it would be best if we added you to Jimh's site.
Please PM or email me your full name by Tuesday.

I am going to say this now just in case I can't get it resolved by Friday.
Those staying off site (in hotels) may be subject to a $5.00 per day use fee.

I had this worked out with the owner but have since been told that it may be charged.

I am sorry about this and will be trying to get a definitive answer by Tuesday, Friday at the latest.

If worst comes to worst I will pay it for any of you in hotels that may be subject to it. And take it up with GM later.

Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Is it too late to join this party?
I *may* be able to make it for a night...

JR, :green: I hope you can!! BeamHead has the skinney on available bunk space in the bunkhouse. (Where the "bunk" will, no doubt, be thickest.) I may be on the couch if I can't get a ride back to the motel. :D You need to PM/EM with your name so he can pre-register you with the resort, even if you are sleeping off site. :thumbsup! Do it!

Jr,

Maybe there will be room in the ranch house if you bring your own bunk/cot. Another option would be to beg man cow to share his one holer

Hehe...yeah....
Darell, you bringing some of that good beer?

Larry, you bringing anything interesting?
;)
I was just (half) joking in that PM I sent you.

Sharing a one holer with man cow...Hmmmm....
Let me think about that....

I THINK I'LL PASS!

Re: **Update**Ghost MTN/Tahoe Check in/Roll call

Hi Guys,

I'm probably just indulging myself in some wishful thinking, but are there any activities planned that would fit with a quick trip to the mountains? I'm only 2.5 to 3 hours from Pollock Pines and might be able to make a day trip out of it. I will see my back doctor tomorrow and ask him if I can make a 6 hour (round trip) drive yet.

So, any afternoon, early evening events planned that don't require any strenuous activity? :)

Re: **Update**Ghost MTN/Tahoe Check in/Roll call

Is there a complete list of events for the weekend?

friday night
saturday morning
saturday afternoon
sat evening
sunday? (are most people leaving on sunday?)

Also, is there a signup for group meals so as to coordinate what each person is supposed to bring?

Thanks.

Re: **Update**Ghost MTN/Tahoe Check in/Roll call

The only schedule that I have tried to emphasize from the start was.....wing-it.:)

Once we are all there and settled in I have no doubt that we can organize anything in short order.:grin2:

I apologize if some want a more stringent schedule, however I am having fun enough trying to square away what I can on my end.:stupid:

We can let Darell be the tour guide/events (
drinkingPals.gif
) coordinator. He seems to be pretty comfortable not knowing what he's doing

Re: **Update**Ghost MTN/Tahoe Check in/Roll call

knifebright and JollyRoger, thank you for responding.:grin2:
Looking forward to meeting you.:p

As much as I hate to do this I am setting an absolute stop on anymore attendees as of 9:00pm PST tonight. So if you are on the fence...move now! Ghost mountain has no one in the office during the off season and I have to leave a message, then sit on my thumbs until I get a call back.
I still have things to get ready other than reservations so please understand. :pullhair:<<<<<what is up with this!

I can't wait until I am up at 4000 feet and playing with my flashlights!!!!!!!!:p

Beamhead, Unlax! The details have always worked themselves out! (I've now been to at least six of these things, and we have always managed to improvise! :D ) Thank you very much for putting this together!

Jim's got me nailed! Sounds like Peter is volunteering for event/food coordinator? :

I'm just bringing
1. A case of beer for Larry.
2. What I need to keep my family alive
and
3. Enough Davis beer to share (oops, provided I buy more between now and then. I see I've lately dipped into my supply).

Anything else will be "on the wing."

Do you drink beer? 'Cause I could probably come up with *something* non-strenuous to do.

Hmmmm. I don't really drink beer much due to an alergy to something in the common brands, but don't let that stop you.

If we can make it, my wife and I will get there late afternoon Saturday, in time for the potluck. We'll head for home around 9 or 10pm. Today my doc said I could drive long distances again, so with any luck I'll be up for it.

I sent an e-mail to beamhead, so I hope he got it.

It sounds like a lot of nice people will be there, and I'm looking forward to seeing y'all up there.

Daniel
