Any longer continious run times & heat in the very small head would be a problem, transfer up the battery tube yeh, but half hour run times & you have one hot rod.
The CR2 Li-ions are very cheap & like you say Mr Flare An extra 2 of these onboard is not a problem.
The charger is good worldwide 110 - 240 & has a lead to enable all plug types.

Ok, I've had some more time to think about this. I've thought about how much I use my QIII. That one has a runtime a bit over an hour IIRC and I've only changed battery in that ONCE since I got it about 4 months ago... So I think I might be interested in it after all (even without the 2-stage). Next step would be the price... hehe. Less is more as they say /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I don't think that will be a problem hehe.

IF it will indeed be under $70 I think you can count me in for a U-binned (if I'm lucky /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif ) one /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Oh and another thing (damn I'm spamming today...), I realize the pictured light is a prototype so I was wondering if the finished product will differ much, or at all? I think rounding off the edges a wee bit would be nice since this thing will most likely ride in the pocket of most owners.

I'd be in for one also.
Two-stage switch would help this light out a great deal. I use low more often than high for most tasks. Also it would be a benefit for longer run times when you don't need the high brightness.
