Mine just arrived. The cerakote looks good and boy is this thing brighter than I expected. I never knew the dark red beam would be so powerful. I think I also just learned something about my eyes and red lights. The pupil must stay fully dilated with this powerful red light on - but that is why red is used to preserve dark-adapted vision. After just a few seconds of "testing" in a dark room my eyes can sure feel it even though I never looked into the beam. Of course this won't be a problem in normal use outside or at lower setting indoors.
Thanks for all your work putting this buy together for us Dan! And Henry thanks for producing such awesome products!

Mine just arrived also. It really is beautiful... and as westfork already stated, it is bright. As you can tell from my avatar info I am a 'Bama fan, so this light seemed perfect for a Crimson Tide fan.

;)

Meanwhile, time to reprogram it then enjoy how it looks on the nightstand. (Oh, wait - I got a rotary - maybe I won't reprogram it!) I'm sure it'll see much night time duty.

Thanks again, Dan and Henry, for making this happen!

Here ya go:

The other HDS is a Clicky 140 219a. Both lights were on their respective lowest output settings in a shaded outdoor shot.

Here is a quick shot of mine. It is hard to get a good rendition of the color but here is an attempt on mine. At least on my computer screen froggytaco's came through a bit too orange/brown. Mine is a bit darker red than what my pic shows (at least on my computer). One of Dan's holsters in the background.

OK, my wife gave it a try with her cell phone. This may be the closest for color because no flash was used:

I agree it's off a bit. Maybe the spa cover background is throwing the color off.

My light and holster arrived also. Could not be happier. Cerakote is excellent quality. Color is a deep burgundy, very nice. Pics tomorrow!

I attepted some beamshots but failed miserably with my iPad. :shakehead

Thanks Dan!

Here's another one after sunset with gray background:
Definitely less orange but still not as dark as real life.

OMFG guys.. if you have a rotary hyper red you have GOT to try candle mode. It's adjustable output in red!!!!!!!

I have to agree, it's pretty awesome! When I adjust the dial, the candle flickers change with it, but then seem to level back out to a predetermined level. Is that how yours is as well?

Yea mine does the same. I got a little excited there.

Oh well it's still better as a red flicker than a white flicker.

Finally got home and my Red was there waiting for me.

I am totally digging the new 18650 tubes. Fit and finish are perfect, love the new packaging!!
I did not opt for the cerakote, instead went with the extended tube.
I too was surprised at how bright it is on high.
Great beam, maintains night vision perfectly.

I am thrilled with everything about it.
Dan...thanks for making another run of these !!

Here are some pics for your enjoyment :)

I have a Prometheus titanium clip I'm going to add on.
I wish I knew someone that could anodize it red.
