Re: X65vn2470?!

I'm guessing the numerous LEDs would allow you to run each one at a lower power thus letting it run cooler, so it could be used on turbo longer with the better efficiency and still hit that much desired 40K-50K lumen.

The reps are saying the X9 cools off in about 30 seconds (with the 2 fans) after running on turbo for 5 minutes straight. That would be perfect for a mega light. But it looks like it only has a 90mm head (guessing it is the same head size as the SR95S UT). I'd still love the RC40vn40 LED setup inside an X9. That extra throw was nice, compared to an all out XHP70 mule. A turbo continuous runtime not limited by heat would be ideal.

Keep up the good work, Vinh!

Re: X65vn2470?!

OK I think I found the best host for this build.

TK61vn2070

4 Less XHP70 but the light will likely be even brighter due to ease of battery configuration. 8-12 VTC5 can easily be used via extension. No battery pack to mess with. This host also has excellent heat sinking and current transfer potential. Does wonders for high driven lights. 2S2P battery configuration is also much safer than 4S.

So...TK75vn1670 & TK61vn2070 ;-)

I thought the x65vn was already a high output thrower.

I also thought the x65 was a 5 emitter light.

Tk61vn2070 has NL's name all over it! I'm not sure which one Larry is getting however.
