Hello,

I've just ordered a second hand Surefire 628 which is now winging its way over from HK. It still has it's stock light unit, an L60. It is however to a certain extent P60 compatible I've been told.

To that end, I've opted for a Malkoff M61N to put in it. Can anyone advise if it'll fit and if there's anything else required for a good fit? (o-rings, etc.)

There seems to be a yT video on that exact topic:

One reason I've always liked the Malkoff modules is that they were specifically designed for the SF's; many of the lesser LED dropins are a fitment compromise beteeen the SF standard & the slightly different Asian standard.
This has been widely known around here for ~10yrs, but I still see newer members running into the issue from time to time.

Some of the really odd SF platforms utilize opposite-polarity configurations - which never mattered with the incan LA's, but are very often dealbreakers when upgrading to LED's.
