I cannot seem to find a torch (flashlight) of which can be re-charged wirelessly.

My needs are in the 400nm spectrum (UV), but if an option exists in the "visible" light spectrum then I would like to know.

I am looking for a space saving option, replacing my 007 Tank (L: 10cm/3.94", W: 2cm/0.79", H: 2cm/0.79"), if one exists.

Can anybody point me in the right direction please.

When you say "wirelessly" do you mean any wireless charger or the specific standard used for phones (Qi ?). Asking because I have seen some heated arguments about this in other threads.

There are quite a few of the former...

... but I have not seen any of the latter. There is this confusing offer from Amazon which includes 2 flashlights plus a wireless charger, but as far as I can see the charger is only for phones etc... and will not charge the flashlights:

Yes, open standards are a must, like the ubiquitous Qi, as you mention.

Inductive charging.

I also came across the "Nitecore R40" and "WR10", but for some reason they insist on proprietary batteries.

Is this to better achieve the necessary burst of power (and endurance) for the strength of light ?
