Yeah, I think that advertising picture of it as a women's pendant was a clue the project was a little wacked.

Maybe they have revised it yet again, this time with a Rebel 100. It's been delayed so long it's otherwise bound to be outdated upon it's release. :sick2:

The Mini Beast has been shown and PK stated the Titan would use "select bin" Seoul P4's. All at SHOT this year.

The mini Beast is real but that doesn't mean we'll ever see it. As for the TITAN it was originally using a Luxeon III if I recall correctly and later changed to a Seoul P4 shortly before Shot Show was held. Since then several months have gone and there has been no sign of it. It's already getting long in the tooth and it hasn't even been released yet.

Amen on the Mini Beast! (I own a first-run Beast, btw.) As I recall, most of the sales Staff at SHOT early this year had Titans on neck lanyards, and a "Select bin" Seoul P4 can hardly be called "Long in the tooth," Unlike me! :green: )

Well, the select bin Seoul P4s may have been the latest and greatest back in February but now? The TITAN's competition in terms of light output and tint shouldn't be a $50 Fenix. I just wonder if they had to go back to the drawing board to make it viable. A delay this long would be inexcusable otherwise. Like you said, they were wearing them around their necks at Shot Show. What happened?

Now it seems there is a "new" flashlight on the Surefire website tonight and if this is it, you guys in the loop need a good thrashing!

He showed off the mini Beast at SHOT SHOW last year as well. So, um... where is it? It's been over two years now. Almost three.

Well, I work in the sporting goods business, and our rep, reps both Surefire and Swarovski.

I don't know the veracity of it, but he spoke of a headlight, an economy version of the Titan, and he also informed me that as of sometime next year, Surefire was going to stop working with incandescent, and focus on LED and HID exclusively.

My 2 cents worth,
Marion

I can't imagine them eliminating incandescents entirely. Many people need the superior color rendition they provide. They did stop all R&D on new incandescents a few years ago as confirmed by PK in an interview. Of course that wouldn't stop them from introducing things like the G3 but regulated incandescents are out of the question which is a real shame.

If they are focusing on HID now I'm waiting to see it in some 9P sized lights..

I think if they want to start some type of excitement about the Mini-Beast it will have to at least be a multi-emitter light if it's going to be an LED (I hope not). Otherwise I really hope they come out with a mini-HID.
