Acceptable - about 50 meters

Depends on the reflector, though.

P1DQ5s only come with op reflectors as far as i know...

and i think i read somewhere that P1DQ5s are reportably a tiny bit brighter...

If you want throw and 1 CR123, then look at the Lumapower D-Mini.

All three lights(P1D-CE Q5, P2D-CE Q5, D-mini) will be brighter on 3.7v RCR123 batteries(But you will loose lower modes with the Fenix lights).

The P1D and P2D use a different circuit, that could be a reason, and each individual LED also varies a bit.
