I have one, used on the side of a pack and not on a belt. The fit is very adjustable for big lights, but does have a minimum diameter due to the overlapping velcro pieces. So although my best guess is that it would fit both your options (especially if you clip it to the sheath as well) for a smaller light you're probably better off with the regular single 4" sheath. I use my UFBS for my Milky Optimator and Tiablo A9. I think it works better attached securely to a pack or horizontally on a belt, vertical on a belt isnt that secure.

Thanks for your input, HoopleHead.

I have the Maxpedition 5" Sheath, and the Surefire E1B is a tight fit, especially with the F04 Diffuser--which is why I'm considering something a little bigger than the Maxpedition 4" Sheath (I think they have the same diameter).

How big is the hole at the bottom of the Maxpedition UFBS?

Will the Surefire E1B fall out through that hole?

How long is the Maxpedition UFBS? I can't find the figure online.

The bottom is open, its really 2 nylon flaps with velcro that wrap around the light, so tension holds it in, not like a closed bottom sheath.

I'll take measurements when I get home, please PM and bug me if I forget and don't post by Monday

You're a braver soul than I am - I like a solid pouch around my high-dollar items.

The height of the back part (not the top loop) is 4 3/4". The height of the flaps is just over 3 1/4".
Thanks for taking the time to measure and share.

I have the same sentiment as TMedina--I don't feel comfortable putting my light in a hollow sheath.

I've got the sheath and I really wouldn't want to put something as small as the E1B in it. It is adjustable, but it is meant for 2 or 3 cell lights. Anything smaller wouldn't be very secure.
