Another Flashaholic in the making! :candle:
I did the same thing when I first got into flashlights this past march. Oh wait a minute, I still do it!
I'm still surprised that the neighbors haven't called the cops on me yet. :grin2:

That sounds just like me 3 months ago. I started out with about a $50 limit but ended up buying 3 for $115. So my first 3 flashlights were a Quark AA² Tactical, a Fenix LD10+ Q5 and a Fenix E01. Then, with the flashlights, come batteries and chargers. At first it was just Eneloops (best ever low self-discharge AA and AAA nimh rechargeables) and then came the Maha C9000 (best nimh charger) then came more flashlights and more batteries. It's a vicious cycle. :D

But then, as I read CPF and BLF more and more, came the Li-ion flashlights, li-ion batteries and of course li-ion chargers. It's been a fun and addicting hobby but also very expensive. :broke:

Uhhh... you wonder why the police didn't come yet? Wait until you are into powerful incans... I was lighting up buildings with my Megalennium with WA1185 lamp in it, suddenly a police car came by, stopped, two policemen came out and asked me "what do you THINK you're doing?!!"

I explained: "I was just testing my Fivemega Megalennium equipped with Welch Allyn 1185 high power 9.6V lamp, overdriven to 10.8 Volts by three AW protected Lithium cobalt 2600mAh batteries. It should blast over 1200 Lumens and draw more than 3 Amps this way, so I expected quite some brightness from it..."

They now knew, I was no burglar or something like that... quite astonished about so many technical details, they produced their Mag Charger: "We have something like THIS!" They put it on against my Megalennium... and saw it didn't have a chance.

They quickly put it away, went into the car and drove off :D

:welcome:

Congratulations! That's a very nice first light. My titanium 123x2 Tactical is one of my favorite and most used lights. I want the aluminum version too, but can't really justify it right now. Have fun...until :broke:

Timmo.

What was that? Powerful Incans? Fivemega Megalennium? I'm trying to ignore what you wrote. If we were talking then I'd be covering my ears and saying, "lalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalalala", I can't hear you!:crackup:

Just joking Timmo. I just don't want to get started on anything else flashlight or battery right now. LED flashlights, nimh and li-ion batteries and chargers should keep me pretty busy and BROKE for a while. :broke:

That Fivemega Megalennium looks awesome though. I'd love one but maybe down the road aways when I've recovered from my current led, nimh, li-ion addiction/obsession. :hairpull:
