Bright Star Worksafe Atex

So; last night, I was looking at different flashlight companies online. I checked out Bright Star's website and came across their latest products, namely, the Worksafe Atex Line. They seem to be a step above the original Worksafe LED line. I own a 2 D cell 2217 LED (as well as an incandescent 2217.) Mine was fresh off the assembly line when it arrived on my doorstep (the date said February 2013 which is the same month I received mine.) I must say it is an incredible performer. It also has EVERY NEC approval (all Classes and all Division 1.) It also gives off 40 Lumens for about 200 hours; just as the product specifications state...

NOW:

Bright Star has the Worksafe Atex line. These models, according to the website, are brighter and carry even MORE approvals. I would assume that they have the same NEC approvals and also the European Atex approvals. They are also 10 Lumens brighter and have the same runtime. They also look much cooler (or at least I think so) than the orange Worksafe models. They are somewhat retro, IMO.

I looked at one online merchant and it said they would soon have them available. Unfortunately, this dealer was located in Britain. I wonder; will these lights will be available here in the States, or will they only be exported? Are they even made here, like the rest of the Bright Star flashlights?

These lights would be an instant hit here in South Louisiana. I have said it before, we have plenty of petroleum, grain, chemical and sugar refining operations here. There are also many who work on various types of boats.

Has anyone else seen these new lights or am I the only one who has discovered them?

Saw a few that look really nice. One was 90 lumens, runs for 80 hours on 3xAAA, and looks like you can kick the crap out of it all day long. And only $40.

That's what you want in the tool bag or the kitchen drawer. I'd buy one. Or two.

Something weird going on, the exact same models of Bright Star flashlights on Amazon.com are selling for as much as 500% more on Amazon.ca. Too bad, I would have bought one on the spot otherwise.

Yes. You looked at the Razor and Ion models. Those are good too, but they don't carry all of the approvals of the Worksafe line. The 6 Volt Worksafe Atex Lantern gives off 90 Lumens for 150 hours and is probably the safest flashlight in the world. Personally; I want to get the 2224 Worksafe Atex Model. The coloring makes it look somewhat retro (like 1970s-80s) but with modern-day lighting power. I already have the 2217 and 2217 LED, the latter carries EVERY NEC approval. Now, granted, the 2217 LED is only allowed to use Duracell MN300 (Coppertop) or Energizer E95 (Max) batteries in order to be approved.
