Hi folks

I will be in your area on these dates but unable to join. I will be running in the ING NYC Marathon on Sunday Nov 3 and will be picking up my race paraphernalia on the friday or saturday.
Would have been able to meet you guys if it was the following weekend.

I'm a fan of Kelty's newer products. They've really got their fingers on the pulse of the backpacking world and are really offering good products with good values. We've got a Kelty Cosmic 20º and 0º*being used amongst our usual hiking group and they've proven awesome. The Ignite, as far as I can tell, is essentially the one step up over the Cosmic and uses DriDown technology. Nice stuff.

My 0º bag retails for over twice as much and is only one pound lighter!

I'm getting excited for this trip as it gets closer! This past weekend I completed a couple of mods that I wanted to have done for the trip. One, a massive triple thrower (TR-J19) with a new driver, upgraded wiring, and dedomed XM-L2 U2-1c emitters on Noctigon stars. The other my first Terminator but with freshly upgraded wiring and dedomed XM-L2 3C emitters on Noctigon stars. Wow! I'm in love with the BST all over again! :thumbsup:

I can't wait to see what everyone brings on this trip. :twothumbs

Now I'm getting excited about the camp out. I'll be bringing Johnny Mac along. My pickup has a bit more room than his cycle. Carrot, tell your dad I've got a 14" iron skillet for the bacon this year! Some friend of mine found it in his attic. I had it sandblasted...looks great now.

Tim, do we have group area 1 or 2 ? Are we allowed to park on the grass with our tents?

Hi Bill, That is great that you are sharing a ride with Johnny Mac! I'm glad he will have enough room to bring all of his cool lights!

To answer your question about if we have group area 1 or 2... come on Bill, you know how I roll... we have both 1 & 2! A ton of room for us to spread out and no one else around us to bother us or to be bothered by all of our lights! As for parking your truck right near your tent, no - this isn't like Stokes where you could do that, this is more like Hickory Run - a semi-wooded area for the tents and a very nearby parking area for all of our vehicles.

Well dang...
An unfortunately uncontrollable Military obligation has come up and I wont be able to make it to the event on these days. I guess now I can save the money for the next G2G event up there.

Hi Bill - It's walkable, but a bike would be way better. I'm guessing it will be roughly a 10 minute walk to the showers/flush toilets (we have clean, neat, modern, permanent out houses on our sites).
