I received my KR1vn today in "gray" with HC bezel and clip. It's a fantastic little light with great form factor. Thanks Vinh, for remembering both batteries, I really appreciated the perfect order! The performance from the 18650 actually surprised and took me back a bit. I'll be comparing it to the D4Svn Supercharged, once it's fully dark. I didn't realize that the front of the bezel actually tapers in more narrowly at the front but I think this is a really nice touch compared to a straight taper bezel. Also, I can see why Vinh referred to this color as navy, because to my eyes, there's definitely dark blue in there and not just gray. Since I have a Cyan D4Svn, I'm glad that I got the navy grey!
Also, I was a little worried about the thermal settings based on what some others have said and so I actually planned on setting the thermal parameters to max. As is turns out, it ran for over 30 seconds without throttling back, starting at 65F, so I think I'm just going to leave the settings as is. That's more than I could have asked for from a SBT90, in a smallish light, running on a 18650.
If you ever wanted a practically pocketable D4Svn, I think you'll love the KR1!
I'll try to post some pics in the next few days.

Patriot is absolutely right. If your wanting something to replace your d4svn in a more pocketable size, the kr1vn is it! I love my d4svn but it's kinda chubby and heavy. The kr1vn does the exact same performance but in a lighter and smaller form. However, the d4svn has a better hotspot and beam and 100 more lumens. I still love my d4svn for a general walking light because of the side switch. The kr1vn is more of a edc because of the rear switch.
b8llzblue, I completely agree with everything you stated about the form factor. Like you, I still love the D4Svn it's just really neat to get similar performance from a stubby 6P-ish form factor. I sometimes used my D4Svn has a walking or a backpack light at work, but never an EDC for obvious reasons like, fatness, weight, and lack of pocket clip. The D4Svn has a smoother beam as well.
Although I haven't yet compared lumens or throw with the meters, I have a power line tower that's 316 yards down the street, that I use to compare lights by eye. It's handy because I only have to walk from my front door to the street. Oddly enough, I seems to me that the KR1vn is illuminating that tower slightly more than the D4Svn Super. The KR1vn is supposed to be about 8Kcd behind the D4Svn but it's not, at least in my two examples. I think the difference is enough that it will show in beamshots, so I'll try to get out and do that, perhaps tomorrow.
One other thing, the tint is noticeable warmer from the SBT-90 vs the W2, something I consider a bonus.

These imperfections go unnoticed in utility but are visible if studied on a white wall. 400-500K warmer tint than the D4S. I personally love 4500-5000k tint!

Thanks man! The best part is that it was easy, no tripod or anything. Just snapped it on a night walk.
Great idea. I think I can do that tomorrow night. Hopefully that little extra performance can be captured from the KR1vn. Shinning them both at the far powerline tower by my house, I think the pictures will show the extra throw. The beams are very similar in many ways, with the main difference being much less spill from the D4S.

Me too. My KR1vn90 is one of my most exhilarating lights. Non-flashies are amazed at what it does per size. I am amazed at the amount of power and throw this screamer has.
