    IR LED lights...

Anyone have recommendations for IR lamps for video cameras used at night & in caves? Ideally I'd prefer a setup that would also lend itself to other types of night animal activity...not just the closer work on cave entrances or even 30-40' away in caves. BTW, this is what I've seen thus far...

    Rexlight SOS mode???

beacon is what all 4 of the units I've seen have. There doesn't seem to be any difference in the pulsing in order to craft a true SOS. Still gotta give credit to the photon freedoms. Thanks all.

Got my Rexlight - Several Observations and Review

further, at: http://www.efunda.com/designstandards/oring/oring_chemical.cfm?SM=none&SC=Silicone%20Grease#mat it shows silicone to be poor for dynamic seals but OK for static. Given the table from the firstlink, wouldn't neoprene be better for these o-rings? So, does anyone know where...

    Rexlight SOS mode???

got my Rexlight. I'm a little puzzled over the "SOS" mode. It doesn't work other than to have slow pulses. I've also seen the same in those of my friends who got them. Am I missing something?

REVIEW: TerraLUX MiniStar5 SSC P4 U bin LED - with beamshots

OK folks...had to clean it up a bit: 1) I did confuse Seoul with Cree and Matt's site had it listed under the Cree section. Anyway, I hope it was cleaned up sufficiently in the first post in the thread (back to top). 2) Sorry folks...I don't have any 4D units and since I seem to be flush in 3D...

REVIEW: TerraLUX MiniStar5 SSC P4 U bin LED - with beamshots

I didn't want to hijack a thread so I thought I'd start another. This is my review of the new TerraLUX SEOUL inserts for 3-6D Maglites (MiniStar5 SSC P4 U bin LED) - with beamshots for comparison. Go easy on me...it's my first beamshot. So, in answer to whether they're working, I got two from...

How many prefer AA battery powered flashlights?

I thought besides weight, one of the deciding factors for lithiums was that they held a charge in extreme temps and would fit ok in anything. Is the only danger in having mismatched sells or is there danger in adding lithiums in old lights like minimags, cheap leds, etc? I added lithiums to my...

Gerber Reactor 3 "ultrabright" - POS

that's a much better review than I'd have given it. I don't find there to be any locking into place and especially confusing tactile feedback. It isn't as if they click into place. I won't even be leaving these in the cars for emergencies as I'm convined with the bouncing around they would...

Gerber Reactor 3 "ultrabright" - POS

Got two Gerber Reactor 3 "ultrabright" on sale a while back from Sierra Trading Post. 3AA, 1WLED, aluminum body. GLB 22-107515 Wow...I thought I'd be liking these lights but all I can think about is what a POS it is. I guess they light well enough, but it has the WORST on/off I've ever had...
