I own an E1L and E2L Surefire, and use the low beam almost exclusively. The 3 (HAS to be higher than that) lumen count keeps going and going, and especially on the E2L. So I voted for 30 Lumens.
Be careful using an Allen key. The correct driver is a T-10 Torx. The Allen could damage the pivot bolt. There are a few tricks with a tight but new knife, most of the time opening and closing it a few dozen times will break it in and it should loosen up.
Went shopping and used my BM 943 to open packages on coming back, sliced tomatoes and carrots for lunch...use the Edge Pro Apex system to keep things sharp and the S30V on the 94x series takes a mighty nice edge.
I have a lot of Benchmades and know things happen. Their customer service is tops. If you do send the knife in make sure you retain the original box and just send the knife in a small shipping box. Their main number is: 800-800-7427 for any warranty questions and inquiries.

I may be new to CPF but have been collecting Aladdins for many years. Here's a few of my collection for you guys. I keep three or four around the house for heat and backup light...
Enjoy!

Near instant light, no pumping. Only thing is you can't use Aladdins in any kind of breeze. For camping we use a Coleman piezo ignited double mantle with propane cylinders. At home and when in the cabin we use the Aladdins.
Thanks for the welcome. I'm a regular over on the Benchmade Forum and just discovered CPF as a recommended place to visit. On flashights I own a dozen or so Maglites all upgraded with factory LED's and am slowly getting into the new lighting technology albeit slowly. Here's a few pics of my...
So far I've picked up a new 527 Ultra with a 522 on the way. Being a big Pardue fan and Presidio lover I wanted to try one of these and was nicely surprised. I already like Noryl GTX handles, as is on the 530 and 551's and have no problem at all with Benchmade's 440c steel.
On the limited's...
+1 on the 707. It's a great little utility knife, one of the best parts is how it tucks away just about anywhere but still has that great 154cm blade, that and the typical smooth Axis mechanism.

First post, not the last.
Tom Krein does amazing work doesn't he? That's a great looking blade. Grips make good utility knives and are hard to kill. I've owned a few but favor Benchmades with full liners. The one I now own which isn't going anywhere soon is an M2 Ritter.
One of the best...
