    Lens Cleaning

I use quality microfiber towels. I use these same towels for detailing; they absolutely will not scratch unless there is a trapped particle.

    Sidearmor Kydex for Surefire lights

I have a Z2 carrier from Sidearmor. I also carry a G27 IWB in a Sidearmor. I really enjoy the flexibility of their holsters.

Duct Tape - Ways To Use It

Lest we forget that most attics are vented, and electrical wiring needs holes in wall caps to run down and interior walls are not insulated and outlet boxes and switch covers are not air tight and and and and and

Need Help Finding A Power Supply

Are you sure it must go to 100vdc? I race slotcars and we use very clean dc powersupplies that will go up to 12v. Amps are not a problem as some of our motors will pull 13 or so. Once of these will set you back around $300.00

I need help with this. Scanner battery....

Quote: Bill, 6 cells, that's a pretty big pack for a scanner. Which uniden model is it? I have a radio shack Pro-92 that is also a six cell scanner. Four or six batteries is the norm. The handhelds really drain the batts quickly. I am using RS NiMh rechargables and I believe they are...

    Tigerlight battery question

Probably not, but try and avoid it in the future. I remember Randy saying the engineers estimated 7-15 charge cycles for full capacity.

    WOW Sunshine at night!!!

I have not seen a 55mm borofloat lens. The only listed for a TL are the UCL. I installed my UCL yesterday. I'm not going to pretend I can tell a difference in the light transmission when shining the light on objects at ground level, but if I point the light in the air I can now see the spill...

    i found a 6d maglite

I have a 6D also. It is kinda funny how dim it is when you consider how large it is. The 6D is my rough and tumble light. It rides behind the seat brackets in the back seat of my Explorer. I think it was made to slide in there. One thing about the Mag is its long run time. I have a friend...

    WOW Sunshine at night!!!

I received mine on Monday. It is indeed very bright. In fact, it is brighter than my Surefire 8NX or Z2. I have already ordered the UCL from flashlightlense.com and I am looking forward to using it. My light had some crud inside the reflector and the stock lens came factory equipped with...

Friend magnetized his TV. Any suggestions?

Line cord = length of electric cord with a standard two prong plug on one end and two bare wires on the other. Soldier the bare wires to the ends of the coil and insulate the connection. Install a switch on one of the wires and you have a nice coil. I have a tape eraser, and I bet it would...

Friend magnetized his TV. Any suggestions?

Icebreak, You can buy the magwire at radio shack for a few bucks. Get yourself a line cord and follow the instructions and you should have a nice coil built for under ten bucks. You could also take it to a repair shop, but in my experience they want at least fifty just to say hello.

Friend magnetized his TV. Any suggestions?

Most TV's have a degaussing circuit built in. The circuit works each time the TV is turned on. For maximum effect turn the TV off for about an hour, and then turn it back on. Repeat a couple times. If this does not cure what ails ya, you may need to make or buy a more powerful hand-held...
