What batteries do you use/recommend to this light?
It requires button top, but how many amps does it draw?
My protected NCR18650B (5A) is not enough , is unprotected NCR18650B enough (10A)?
Got my flashlight (XPG2 PDTc version with extra thermal pad cooling) the day before christmas and have tested it for a few days now so here are my comments.
It definitely packs a very powerful punch for it size, clearly the best I know of!!
I would say it has a perfekt mix of throw and flod for...

161Lumens/Watt seems to be Cree:s latest proved result:

If that could have 130-140 Lumens/Watt driven att 3W then that would be sweet.
For me an EDC has to be very small and light, currently I have a Dereelight C2H R2 in my pocket (that is about maximum size and weight to EDC for me) the C2H replaced a Fenix P2D.
At work it's a different thing, there i carry a Victorinox SwissTool and a Fenix P3D Q5 in my belt
I need to get something explained about the RCR:s discharge rate because I'm not quite following:
1 RCR123 is about 750 mAh => 1C =750mA
2 RCR123 in series wouldn't that double the capacity to 2x750mA = 1.5A =1C discharge rate??
The voltage and the energy is doubled of course, but what about...
Yes sure, but those shots was with the multimode endcap (which measures around 27klux), with the single mode it's been measured to 45klux:grin2:
Have a bright day...
Hi guys, I just realized that the A10:s beam can be defocused quite effectively. You can increase the hotspot size up to about 3 times the diameter with acceptable beampattern if the distans is more than a couple of meters.
I'm just liking this light more and more.....
21000lux is approximatly what the A9 can give, the A10 is definitly brighter and quite a bit so.
Just by my judging from eyes I'm guessing its 30-50% brighter then A9.
Lets put it this way, I just tested it side by side with my A9 and it's easy to see which one is brightest in a real outdoor...
P3D Q5 is my choice of light at work, always there in my belt when I need it. Small enough, easy interface, weak enough when needed and surely powerful enough when thats called for, that plus absolutely excellent battery time.
Hi guys, and thanks for welcoming me.
I guess our "nicks" are a bit close....and we're both swedes too
;-)
Just dont expect my reviews at the same level as StefanFS (or you'll might be dissapointed).
That said, I sure will give you my comments on this light when it arrives.
