    Avoiding 3AA & 3AAA Lights

    If you think 3AAA lights are bad, I got given a Coast light that takes 3 N cells. Basically once they run dead I'm never going to use it again. Pity because its a nice light, even though it has the most braindead design ever.

    According the Flashlightreviews.com and chevrofreaks runtime graphs the P1D-CE puts out about 110 lumens for 45 minutes and the Surefire U2 puts out about 77 lumens for 1 hour.     L1Dce and 14500 Li-ion

    If I tighten the head first then I can't tighten the tail enough for the contacts to meet so the light doesn't work at all. I think I'll use some copper wire in between the tube and tail as chevrofreak did.

    I bought 2 AW 14500 cells and I find that I can't fully screw down the head of my L1D-CE so I am limited to the Low-Medium-High-SOS mode which is slightly annoying because I can't use the strobe. Fortunately its only a fraction away from making contact so the O ring seal is fully covered...

    Re: Fenix L2D CE runtime graphs (L1D CE pending) Thanks a lot for your efforts chevrofreak. This is a great reference. I reckon many of the L1D runtimes will be simply slightly less than half of the L2D runtimes. Those runtimes on low are awesome.

    Which one is better for EDC,L0D CE or L1D CE?

    I carry my L1D on my belt loop and never notice its there. Using a Lithium cell helps cut down on weight.

    2AA body tube for Fenix L1D CE

    I just emailed the fenix-store about this. He said they will be available to buy mid March. I was impressed by the review of the L2D-CE that showed it as 122 lumens while the L1D was only 61 lumens.
