That's the one Hogo's most excited about. Probably not another 219c.

The third will be a Nichia 219C HiCRI 5700K. It will only happen if these others sell out. Gotta finance it somehow.
Would have just done that one first, but it was a matter of what LEDs I could source at the time, though this 5000K is the white I was after. Not sure the 5700K, if it happens, would be any better.

I disagree on that. 5000K may be the cleanest white but I find I prefer 3700-4000K in general. The warmth and comfort is worth it to me.

I've got one of those 4K special from the first round of 4K. Always been too warm for me.

I've been playing with the 4000K and 5000K between studying the female reproductive system (and I thought I knew all about it before this physiology class)... and what is a vesico-uterine pouch for and what are women keeping it that pouch? Just another mystery I will have to explore.

Anyway, my take is like this: 4000K is like an incandescent light.. or turned low, like candle light. The 5000K is white, but not like the low CRI white we typically see. It shows colors so much more true without washing them out. I don't care for most "cool" lights as there always seems to be some blue or violet in the beam, and it washes color out. The 5000K doesn't do this. It doesn't make the reds and browns deeper, but shows them as they would appear outside.
It really comes down to preference. I'm keeping both. I'm an addict, and I don't see that changing anytime soon. Looks like my 4 HDS holster will be back to being used!

I think I saw a photo of that 4 HDS holster on his website somewhere, although I can't find it now. You know you're an addict when you see a holster designed to belt carry four flashlights and you think, "now that makes sense. I need that."

Yep. Sorry. Let me clarify, I was disagreeing because the original post seemed to indicate that 5000K was better for all. I have a different opinion. But it's just my opinion. Some people prefer 3000K, some 5000K. I only meant to convey my opinion, not a fact.

I've got a couple of triples that are supposed to be 4500 219c those seem to be my current favorite tint. So I ordered both the 5k & 4 k. Curious to see if the 219 4K is as warm as the other HDS 4k.

The holster, not the pouch.
I don't think that's a pouch I can make... nor would I desire to!
I can stop anytime I want. I don't have a problem. Stop looking at me like that!

I promised my wife I'd stay clean and sober from my flashlight addiction, but I think I'm slipping off the wagon...

Just one won't hurt. It's just one, right? You can hide it under the couch... I mean, put it under the couch... for emergencies. No one has to know but you.
