How bout Fenix. I keep checking out their offerings and i like the style and options available.
My Manker on CC went back up to the original price over night. Got something in the works with them as i guess i'm good customer and who doesn't value those ha ha ha. Seriously they have been nothing but great in my dealings with them and i'm a big fan.
Still the Fenix looks more than capable in the hand.
Love my Fenix lights. But they are definitely NOT the flashlight equivalent of a Rolex.

Lots of comments here from people who know little about watches.
Rolex are tool watches. Malkoff and Surefire are tool flashlights.
Are you kidding me?
Welcome to the 21st Century, Time Traveler!
Rolex hasn't been a Tool Watch brand since the 1970s at the absolute latest. Blatant, full-on, Luxury brand for about 50 years now. You want a legit tool watch, today? Buy any G-Shock.

I'd pick a Sinn U1 over any Rolex. Thats just me, but with my price range, G Shock Solar Multiband 6 will beat any watch IMO, those are what I consider tool watches. No one I know in their right mind (unless they are rich) would spend the amount of money on a Rolex to just beat it up, they may handle it, but no one is gonna do it

Flashlight equivalent to me would either be a Mcgizmo or Special metal HDS

I thought Coolfall doesn't quite fit the Rolex as it's not as waterproof as the Submariner. McGizmo is more likely. I just remembered an old review

Lol, I don't wear a watch at all, I have it on my phone, because the last time I bought a wristwatch, it was lost in a fight, and at work there are too many moving mechanisms that can tear off my hand along with the jewelry. If only I could find the right pocket watch, something like that, but they must be waterproof, shockproof and metal

Dare i say investments?
Flashlights are tools and sometimes toys. Generally, Norman Rockwell plates and old flashlights will share the same table at a garage sale.

Technology advancements can make old lights obsolete, just by the lower performance/function of the old light.

However, if you can find a buyer for old lights willing to pay the top dollar maybe the investment angle might work out. Check out the for sale forum here, look at what the collectors sell old lights for, or don't sell while holding out for the right collector to come along. Then figure out the return on investment.

There are much better investments out there. You could play on the investment word, such as investment in safety, investment in my livelihood. So context could sway the conversation.

I like Fenix lights. Consumer grade, leaning toward better quality. I think some of their lights would have worked out for me when I was a cop. But most likely as a LEO, I would carry a Surefire light.
which begs the question... what did you carry as a cop?
