12LED SSC P4 Bike light (beamshots added)

I almost finished my new bike light (version 2.2 the "Lupine Betty killer") with 12 SSC P4 @600mA +Maxflex driver board with a 12V 12.6Ah batterypack. The max light output is ~2000lumen. I will take beamshots if the weather will be better(so rainy now) since the system is not waterproof now but i will seal it

How did you make the enclosure? Is it a commercial enclosure modified for a bike light? I would like to see some build pics too.

The polymer optics are great for cramming in lots of LEDs.
Pity Cutter charge 8US$ each for them :mecry:

Do you have a mix of beam angles?

It is home made, based on two fischerelektronik heatsink glued together with arctic alumina and 2mm thick AL plate which was cuted and bended around the optics. I used only basic hand tools for these operations.

Znomit, no ,all lens is narrow lens but as i found with this multiple lens configuration there is enough side spill, but im planing to build 4 real narrow beam lamp with deep reflector placed above this light.

OP'S light made me soil my pants. I can' control my bodily fluids. Waiting for beamshots for sure and a set by step guide. I so want to build one like it for night riding faster.

I'm pretty sure it's from one of the mid-90s Star Trek movies. I think First Contact, which was made in 1996 (had to look it up) where the guy played a scientist who built his own starship or something to that effect. I didn't create the gif (love it, though)...I just saved it for an occasional appropriate use (er...such as now).

Yes 16 optics but only 12 filled with LED 2 paralel connected 6 series LED string
The strings are ballanced since i measure each LEDs VF before i made the series strings.

Finally i mounted the lamp onto my bike and took a short ride on the nearest hill, so there are some beam shots and pictures about the mounting. All pics was taken with the following settings ISO400,aperture 5.6, 6sec(for comparison the exposure level is the same like in the Lupine webpage). Sorry about the noisy pics but i had with me only my small cam, i will take pics later with my SRL too.
First 5 pics shows the 1-5 level of Maxflex the 6th show maxflex at maximum with my headlamp(2SSC direct driven but the battery was almost empty:-() the 7th pics show the beamshot of the headlamp alone

For me pics 3 and 4 look the best for riding , 5 and 6 seem too much light just where you need the most detail when riding

What handlebars are those? Model?

Dammmnn... can you draw out the wiring on that? I've got 6 x Q5's here on star that I'm thinking of going freaky with.

What optics? Brand/model#, URL?

I want one of these for my day to day ride but with a quick release for errands and such as I tend to stop and go a lot. Unf.... I can't control my bodily fluids looking at this. :kiss:

So i realy dont know what handlebar i have i bought in a local store with no label.
I used the standard maxflex wiring following the maxflex's pdf http://www.taskled.com/techmaxflex.html i just added 4 serial direct driven 3mm blue LED string among to Gnd and Vin+ and one extra indicator led with 5KR resistor to the same place.
The optics came from www.polymer-optics.co.uk 2pcs 7 cell 6°collimator #122 and 2pcs 6°colimator #120 glued together with UHU Allplast transparent glue.
