You may not interest in this new Inova T1 which use K2 LED, it's not as bright as most Cree lights, but I still love it, easy to use, perfect and useful beam, nice design, high quality and not expensive, this light was purchased from batteryjunction

Chao, thanks for the 2007 Inova T1 review -- especially the beam shot photos. I have a small Inova collection including the older, TIROS version T1 and was curious about the newer version.

The newer version T1 looks like it provides more light with considerable spill at the expense of twice the number of batteries (or half the battery life per cell).

Thanks for the review.

My old T1 is using luxeon I LED and TIROS like parnass said, the 2007 T1 using luxeon K2 LED and reflector.

I also love this new version! I was pleasantly surprised at the difference between the new and old T1. Still has the great build and feel in the hand.

I then did runtime test with protected 14650 cells :grin2:, the graph was updated. I think using unprotected 17670 for at least 1.5 h should be fine without overdischarged.

Chao,
Thanks again for a great review. Also thanks for the beamshots and runtime. I have picked up a few of my lights because of your hard work. Thanks.

Chao,
Looking at your 5 and 10 meter beamshots, it is amazing to me the difference of output in lights that we at cpf enjoy, compared to the general public. Inova 2AAA and even Surefire kl3's compared to Lumapower M1's and Fenix P3D's on turbo showed that to me. Thanks for the comparrison to let me know how lucky we are to have stumbled across this place.

Chao,
Thanks for the very informative review.

What would the run time be on regular Duracell / Energizer batteries? Shorter than the Energizer E2 used in your test?

Will you be doing a review of the new model 2007 T2 sometime?

Thanks.
Cheers.

I think the runtime with different brand primary cells may identical.
I don't have new model T2, if I get it sometime (dependent on my budget;), just bought 2 surefire lights recently), I will review it:).
