17670 +DSD = unusual charge time?

So my 17670s arrived today from lighthound [thanks again for a speedy delivery!:wave:], took them out of the plastic and loaded them into the DSD....

its been 6 hours, lights still red. no temperature difference on the battery or the charger

mmm....my two 14500 750mah AW cells charges for approx 3 hours to full on their first charge after arrival
the 17670s are 1600mah each btw

theoretically since they are "protected" there shouldn't be a problem if I leave it idling on the charger...I have to go to work [5 hour shift, with no one at home] I don't want to run the risk :sweat: so I'll unplug it for now

I believe that DSD charger is rated at 500mA, so expect about 6 - 7 hours to charge 2 x 1600mah batteries. With my 2500mah 18650 batteries, it takes about 9 hours.

I'll let it sit on the charger overnight....I'll get them when I wake up at 6:green:

9 hours is alot to pay for 1 hour burn time on the SF L4....but I'm pretty sure this investment will save me alot of money on cr123As
