2 stage clickies and runtime

that's right. another newbie question.

Do I gain anything in runtime if i use a resistored two-stage clickie switch? or I just spend energy in heat?

Data is. 0.68A draw from 2xCR123 inittially, 65mA resistor for a atrgeted 0.07 (IIRC) current draw.
