Hi, today I received 2 Surefire G2X Pro, from a reputable dealer in Germany. One thing caught my attention, they both have the same serial number.
I haven't opened them (and won't), because I'll return them. The website said 320 lumens, but they sent me 600 lumen version.

The packaging is well made, on par with Surefire quality, just some ink tone variations between the two packages.

Thoughts? Fakes?

Never seen a strong white lettering like this on a surefire.
But may be that's part of the problem?
Contact Surefire and find out.

Yeah, contact Surefire to see what they say.

I sent email to Surefire…

They said the "serial number" is just a production stamp, not a real serial number, that's why both have the same.

I wonder why a meaningless "production stamp" has to be that prominent?
the impression of a serial number where is none. 🙁

Yes, all good. Apparently they're all clones.
Are they clones then?
I received a clone g2x once…only one level output and the head was very easy to open and get it apart. Total disappointment.

I´m pretty sure Mr.LED meant clone in the sense of a cloned sheep ;-) because both lights are identical down o he serial#. Using the word clone for not authentic surefire product is the wrong word anway since it would be a counterfeit.

10 Years from now these will be rare valuable 6Ps that came from the "same Serial number" batch.

Almost like when they spelled Milenium wrong on the M6 when they first came out!

I owned a red Ducati 600 SS (Supersport) in the 90's that shared the same VIN number as a yellow Ducati Monster 900.
When I spoke to Ducati they told me they sometimes issue identical VIN numbers, but always to different models.

Not flashlight related I know, but I thought it was interesting none the less…….

No, they're original Surefire. My comment could be wrongly interpreted so I edited it.
