My G2x surefire- 320 lumin light is basically the same brightness as my 600 lumin g2x..why? The 600 model is nearly double the lumin's but it doesn't look much brighter. Why?
Both lights are a good condition with new Batteries.

Human eyes perceive light in a logarithmic fashion, which in practice just means that in order to see a difference in brightness you have to go up by a factor of substantially more than two before it's obvious. Color temperature/tint differences, which vary a lot between different types of LED emitters (even in the same batch) can also introduce surprisingly large differences in how brightness is perceived by human eyes.

If you still think something is wrong, then contact Surefire, but I'm betting that's all that's going on.

As others have said, your eyes can deceive you on lumens. Download a light meter app for your phone. Go in your bathroom after dark, shut the door, turn off the lights and set your phone on the counter. Shine both lights at the ceiling one at a time and compare your readings.

For some reason I'm heard a lot of people prefer the 320 lumen version. I'm not sure why that is. Does it throw further?
