2007 nominations for best flashlight by category

In the spirit of the Emmy awards, I suggest collecting nominations for people's choices for "best light" in a number of categories. The nominations would then be entered in to a poll and the CPF community would vote on the best light. I would hope that people would consider features as well as price, so that we choose the best lights in terms of performance and VALUE. I have my suggested categories below. I imagine doing this toward the end of each year.
Any suggestions for changes/additions/refinements? Would you be interested in the results of this type of thread?


Suggested Categories:
Best keychain light- The most compact lights, such as the Fenix L0D or Photon Microlight.
Best compact general purpose light- probably 1 AA or 1 123A powered lights- pocket carry.
Best full size gereral purpose light- 2AA/2 123A lights more suited to holster carry.
Best convertable/transformable/Lego style light- such as the Lumapower M3, or Fenix L1D/L2D with swappable heads. Multiple battery number/type, switch options.
Best tactical light- High intensity lights equipped with tactical or forward clicky switch.
Best spotlight/high intensity light- battery powered HID and conventional spotlights.
Best headlamp

Best full size gereral purpose light: SureFire Cree E2L -> SureFire quality, they targetted runtime over brightness (9h flat regulation), throw with useful spill at close range. Great outdoor/general purpose/backup light.

I would nominate Zebralight H50 in the headlamp category for the best inovation in headlamps this year... but no real reviews are available yet - people are just starting to receive these headlamps. But I am pretty confident that this Zebralight is not going to disappoint me.

Best full size gereral purpose light- Surefire U2 Digital Ultra (Still the one, after all these years)

I will hold off on further nominations until I get my WolfEyes "Thunder" and test it out.

Oldies but goodies!

Best compact general purpose light- Original HDS modded with a Seoul.
Best spotlight/high intensity light - Costco HID. I haven't found a better bang for the buck HID. Not to mention it throws like a beast.

carya, I would suggest creating a paragraph block of the categories so that a person only has to copy and past it. They can then type in their favorites picks next to the category name. Then give us some general rules. Is it any light that is our favorite for the year or do they have to be 2007 lights...if so how will you determine this?

Without some general outlining the thread will fizzle and disappear do to sporadic posting.
