Moving into the 21700 relm but they don’t fit any of my chargers. Any recommendations for a quality charger? I like to charge my batteries gently hoping they will last longer.
IMO, the SkyRC MC3000 is the best consumer charger for cylindrical cells with two drawbacks: price, and not fitting protected 21700 cells.
The new Xtar VP4L (new version of the VP4 Dragon with longer slots) can handle protected 21700, and should be cheaper than SkyRC MC3000.
Going through my boxes of batteries and chargers this afternoon, and at the very bottom of the box I found an XTAR SV2. Sure enough it fits and appears to be charging my unprotected 21700s.
Xtar VC8 (8 bay charger)
you can charge a 26650 or 21700 at 3A on the outside slot,, did it this morning. If you don't want to do that, just use the other slots for 2A
fyi = Max output is 18W, so if you charge alot of cells at once, they might just be at 1A
if that makes sense
