I just received a 27LT. A true gentleman on this board offered it to me in a trade. Lux III with a mofo Ti bezel.

I AM IN LOVE.

What a light! Is this really a Lux III? It is amazingly bright, with a wonderful high and low. The body provides the most amazing tactile sensations- "dense" as someone else posted, and it fits so well in my hands.

I've got a night hike scheduled for this evening and I'll be taking this one along for a test.

Don, once again thanks for these lights. I'm now a proud owner of an HD45 and 27LT. Yes, I'm late to the game (what's new) but so what. This light is truly a little work of art. Form truly follows function in a wonderful intersection with modern art.

I'll probably send it off for a Seoul upgrade, though now I may wait for a while. I dunno. I'm just smiling like a stupid school kid right now. I really love this thing.

The 27LT throws a pretty nice looking beam doesn't it? When it is dark, the low is extremely useful and long running and the high is no slouch at around 1.5 to 2 hours. It works great on a 17670 for free lumens.

You are about to get to the point where you are gonna suffer from indecision about which light to take on your hikes. I think that you will end up taking both.

The ti-bezel ring fits these lights great and it makes it look like jewelery.

I am glad that I am not the only one who grins like a school kid when I get ahold of a light that I love.

Chronos, we are in love with the same vixen. Oooh what a siren song she sings. This beauty holds it own against anything. I wouldn't be to quick to Seoul this vision as the Lux 111 has a peculiar taste all of it's own.

I agree that the Luxeon is a great emitter for this reflector!

Fringe,

You are the man! It will replace another fine 27LT that I once and still am very fond of!

All I can say is Don's recient offer of 27LT-S flashlights which sold for $225.00 was a great deal.

The 27LT-S is one hell of a light with either the LUXV LUX III or the Seoul emitter what ever the hell it is called.

It is one Hell of a light.

Cute story- I'm in the car driving my son to school this morning. He sees the 27LT in the console and says excitedly "Daddy! Is that a flashlight from that man in Hawai'i??? It is soooo cool!" He then asked to hold it, and he played with it the entire drive. :)

Now if I could only get him NOT to tell his mommy about daddy's new toys... ;)

fnmag, yes we are! You too are obviously a man of good taste.

LOL. I'm currently running it on a 17670. I don't think I'll send it in yet for an emitter "upgrade" as the tint is great and it has enough output. Hell, I've got enough Crees and a Seoul on the way, so I think I'll wait with this one to see if something else pops up in a coule of months.

Last night I drove to my buddy's house to hike, but when I arrived and stepped out of my car I nearly froze. Cold with high winds. We decided to stay inside and enjoy a few beverages instead. So the test will have to wait until next week... HD45 bvs. 27LT vs. M180-K2.
