Hello guys,
Which of these would give a brighter and tighter beam?
3 P7s running at 3 amps( the reflectors for them are difficult to get)
or 9 XR E Q5 running at 1 amp with 8 degree lenses arranged in a cluster?
I am looking for a good tight and bright spot.
Can any one with some experience throw some light on the matter?

Thanks for the reply Zepp.
I also feel the Q5s to have a tighter beam with the 8 degree optics.(I have a single one in use)
Will be using leddynamics 3021-D-E-1000 driver for 3 parallel 3 series connected LEDs powered with a 12 volts sealed battery.

I can say from experience that 9XR-E w/8˚ optics will make a great beam from a small source.

10XR-E w/8˚ optics at 3m:

Hello Luke,
Thanks for the supportive pics. Curious to know how you drive the tenth LED.??? Do you use an over the counter driver or plain resistors?

That's actually ten P60 dropins running in parallel off of a li-poly battery. There are some other electronics in there too to ensure safety.
