3 watt LED Mag upgrade kit. I need info.

I have a 4-cell 3 watt LED upgrade kit for my Mag, but I gutted/modded my 4-cell Mag that it was in (bought the light & upgrade for $25 shipped), and now am using the upgrade in my 3-cell mag, but I'm using 3x Ni-mh's (batteries are ~ 5 years old), which is a problem. I only get a 30 minute or so runtime on it, because its trying to run off 3.6 volts vs 6.0 volts.

My question is:

Will a 2-cell 3 watt LED upgrade module be compatible with running off of 3x Ni-mh's, or will I have to buy a 3-cell module?

A 2-cell module will pop on 3 cells.

If you are using a 3D model, try using 4xC with a spacer instead.


If you end up buying an upgrade, I suggest getting something other than the MagLED brand upgrades. There is a thread dedicated entirely to Mag upgrades, and I suggest reading it and choosing the best for you.

It's a MagLED.

Just use 4C cells in the 3D. That should work just fine.
