Is there a such a thing that comes in a 5mm from factor. And where can I get one.(Needs to be able to run off 2AA batteries)

I want to mod a cheap $15 dollar light to some thing a bit brighter a 80 lumen bulb would be preferred but have no idea if you can.get them,basically i want a led like this and size is no longer that big a factor as i can enlarge the hole if required.

no can do... what you want to do needs a high output LED and boost circuit and heatsink. A multi die 5mm LED *may* get perhaps 25 lumens overdriven but you will need a boost circuit while the highest output normal 5mm LED is a nichia GS and about 10-15 lumens is all you are going to get. For $15 you may as well put that towards an 80 lumen LED light instead.
