35mm reflector for a P7?

Dear CPF

I wonder if you could advise on some 35mm reflectors!?

I am currently using one from dealextreme but when I went to wipe it internally, it appears some of the coating is starting to wear through and reveal a brass (?) plate?

anyway,

the current reflector is OP which i feel should help for the P7 being a 'floody' type beam.

Would you advise on smooth or OP for a cree Q5? (same 35mm)

You should try to avoid touching the surface of a reflector altogether. Even a good quality reflector will accumulate small scratches if it is wiped. The best way to clean is by soaking in washing up liquid soloution then washing off thoroughly with warm water under a tap. Let it dry naturally or with a hair dryer. If you want to avoid drying marks, wash the tap water off with de-ionised water first.
