Hi, new here and apparently can't post this directly in the 4Sevens sub-forum.

I recently got turned on to 4Sevens flashlights (by onebag.com) and now own two Quark AAx2s and a Quark MiNi AA.

I'm considering adding a Quark 123 for $59 and was wondering if I also ordered a Quark 123-2 body for $20 if I could switch between the two bodies? It seems that since the Q123 head handles 3.0-9.0v that this should be possible.

Likewise for the Quark AA-2; if I order a QAA body I seems like I could switch between the two bodies since the QAA head handles 0.9-4.2v.

Is this correct?

Thanks!

:welcome:

Quark component heads come in two voltage ranges 3-9V (for the 123-2 body only), and 0.9-4.2V (for the 123, AA, and AA-2 bodies).

So no, you can't use a Quark 123 head on a 123-2 body, the voltage to the head will be too high.

Since you already have a couple of AA-2 Quarks, just buy a 123 body and an AA body and then you can run the AA-2 heads in either single cell configuration.

Sure you can use the 123^2 body with the 123 head as long as you only use a single 17670. Two cr123s or rcr123s would be a big no-no.
