5mW Green Laser Pointer metal cap

i have bought a green 5mw laser pointer from ebay picture's:

i alreaddy wanted to remove the cap but i cant get it off picture:

any tips would be appreciated

Kind of hard to see from the pic; you might want to try a soak in acetone to loosen any glue and then try to gently twist the cap with padded pliers. Wrap a lot of layers of electrical tape around the jaws and use curved jaw pliers.

The problem, if you don't know what the internal construction of the laser is, is that you may loosen something else with the acetone by accident.

Yes there are. I think the innards of this Chinese laser are the same as the one Uxcell is selling. Unless someone's gonna reverse engineer the PCB you can't mod this one. Oh and beware, there's no IR filter in this thing.
You'd better spent $40 on a Leadlight. But hey, I made the same mistake

1) please resize your pics to 800pixels wide max, thanx

2) on a blurry pics even those with eagle eyes will have problems ...

will a "pot short" work with this (I know he said there's no pot) - but is there a way to short to the case? I've never owned this model...

Is there a macro setting on your camera?

If there isn't... just take the photo at a distance where it actually looks in focus

srry for the blurry picture's i whill resize them and make them look better but about te pot short mod is this possible becuase i don't have a pot but maybe i can shoten it ??
