Fried the Shark driver in the original heat sink light

Apparently, my sloppy soldering on the positive input shorted on the shark's c-heat sink. doh!
I never really liked how the back of the original turned out:

...so I thought why not take a saw to it

beam shot's didn't change from the original...but I'll take some more later.

Slightly heavier than before...I may try to hollow it out a little

Is that one of those old swiftech heatsinks? I'd forgotten about those, have four or five of those sitting around. Is the pill custom? And is that a rotary dial on the top? How do you find BNC connectors in the rain?

Cracking looking light by the way

everything but the heat sink I made. Haven't tried it in the rain yet (bnc). I did seal everything using o-rings and silicone. Guess we'll see:) the rotary dial on top dims the Shark driver. I inlayed the orange o-rings to provide grip w/ gloves on.

Very nice work. Gives me the idea of using a heat sink from a old nitro rc motor, they look a lot like that.
