8 degree cree collimator vs smooth reflector

I am planning to buy a Q5 drop in into my ultrafire. but the drop in comes with the smooth reflector. I want my new drop in to give more throw (spills are not important). Should I remove the reflector and get a 8 degree cree collimator?
