Hey guys, whats the best 9 volt battery? My mom needs them for here medal detector. Thanks...

Hi-

My wife has been using these in body mics for years and she's quite particular:

Duracell Procell 9 Volt Alkaline Battery 12/Pack (PC1604).

We've been getting them for $15 a 12 pak from medicbatteries.com (SKU=*DP9V12*) for a year or so now. They have been real straight up -- getting them shipped right away -- no surprises.

In the years she's used PC1604s from various suppliers she's never gotten a bad one.

he did say "Best" and i heard nothing about price :) those are the best you can get. about $8 apiece is the lowest you can get them.

durasell and energypsters all fresh and new are reasonably priced and wont let you down. i cant find much difference between the 2 in alkaline.
and fresh is important with the alklalines.

Depends on the current draw too, those 10-year lithium batteries don't like high current drain, where high is something less than 10 years ;-)

All 9 volt batteries may it be Alkaline, LeClanche (heavy duty) or Lithium do not like high current draw.

Ah, actually now that I read the specs, those 9V lithiums have max discharge current of 120mA, which is much higher than I expected :)
