I know nothing about custom fixed blades, and I'm not fond of Spyderco knives--but still I can appreciate that you guys have some high quality cutting tools here.

Seems like you have quite the collection of Spydercos. Mind if I ask you the "if you could only keep one" question?

It seems like a lot of people like the spydiechef. What is it that you like about it so much, is it the blade shape that gives you hand clearance; or something else?

I heard LC200 is a real top-end steel. I don't have any blades made of it or Maxamet, but oddly enough I do have one knife with LC200 liners. Which do you like better?

That has to be one of the things that makes Spyderco so popular: they seem to make a real effort to utilize many different steels so you can try them out.

DJ

Everyone has different uses for their knives. The Spydiechef is great for a camp knife. For food prep as well as camping type usage. The blade shape is perfect for working with food on a cutting board. LC200 is super stain resistant, and while it holds an edge for a long time, it's not impossible to sharpen if you have moderate skills. Maxamet is a different story. It holds an edge for a ridiculously long time, but sharpening can be pretty challenging, especially if you let the edge get buggered up at all.

My two most recents. For once, I've actually stopped feeling the need to buy more knives after these two:

And my most recent purchase, a blue ridge hunter. I absolutely love this fixed blade so far
