Just wondering if there are any good multi-mode retrofitting clickies for the 3W Maglite 2xAA? I just one of these a short while ago. Nice unit. I do own a 2xAA incandecent which has gotten the Nize-Ize multi-mode clickie and LED combo kit on it.

However that Nize-Ize clickie does not work well on the 3W Maglite as it flickers on/off and does not make much contact at all.

TIA.

Also curious if there is anyone making a lanyard ring spacer attachment for the 3W maglites? Bummer there is no lanyard holes on my unit.

Not as of yet that I know of.
I tried the nite ize three mode that fits the minimags but they would not work as is, though I am fiddling with on to see of i can get it to work.
They work well on the MM and have a locater red that flashes in the tail cap , but the threads or the length are a problem
with the other light.
Maybe soon.

Carefully stretch the spring on the NiteIze unit to help make contact. I've done this on a 3AA version with success.

I have stretched the spring on the Nite-Ize 5-mode clicky button cap and used a piece of crumpled up aluminum foil but still it gives off a flickering hit-miss contact to turn the unit on and turns off suddenly from time to time.

I mean I've been wanting EDC my 3W 2xAA Maglite but right now two things are against me. 1. Multi-mode switch 2. I can't find a pouch that can hold the 3W 2xAA Maglite and my multi-tool together.

The old 2xAA incandecent Maglite which has got the Nite-Ize LED + clicky mod fits the Nite-Ize light + multi-tool pouch but the 3W 2xAA Maglite will fit the pouch but won't close the flap because it is too long. :(
