Flashlight Enthusiast
A purple \"P\" *FIXED*
I just wanted to updated this post without bringing this subject up to the top of the forum again. Peter quickly fixed the problem and all is well. My new light is everything I expect from Arc--QUALITY.
I finally had enough cash left over when I made a flashlight purchase this weekend and I bought a LSL-P. It's a LSL-P #181 with a date of 3/12/03
After I had heard all the great reviews the past few months I was so psyched when I got my package open today. The first thing I did was open up my LS, glance over the instructions on how to insert battery, actually insert the battery and run on off to the pitch black garage.
I let my eyes adjust and shaking with anticipation, press down the Kroll. What I got was a sickening suprise... purple . It was worse than my KL1 ever was.... It's definetly brighter and more focused than most of my lights, but it is decidedly purple--such that if I showed this to a non-flashaholic, they would assume that purple was the intended color.
I run out and gather my collection to compare it to my other luxeon powered lights... it's the most purple of all of them...
I take a close look at the head to see if I perhaps recieved a standard in error. No, it's a LSL-P alright. And while inspecting the head, I notice 2 tiny bare spots on the bezel where there was no annodizing.
This from a light that costs $100? Now I'm depressed... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/icon23.gif
I've happily purchased many Arc AAA's as gifts and nearly every one was perfect. This is my first experience with an Arc LS and I am really dissapointed.
What should I do?
