I was just cleaning my A2 and had the incandescent lamp out of it when I noticed that the LED’s have two different brightness levels. Does this mean they are being regulated when you hit the point where the incandescent comes on?

This has come up before. Only the SF EE's know how the circuit was designed but I don't think it is a case of regulation. My guess is that in the high mode,maybe a higher voltage source is added in parallel maybe to the direct source from batteries. Yeah, my guess is likely a candidate for an obnoxious buzzer. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

All I can say is that it is one very very complex design, I still haven't figured out how it works yet.

Btw, what's the first thing you do to a light when you receive it? Here's what I do...
