Guys, how to make home made AA battery discharger that stops at 0.9 volt ?
I'm trying to recondition some NiMH AA batts. Thanks

I am having good luck with the BC-900 charger. I guess one could watch it in test mode and pull the batts out when it gets down to 0.9 volts. Siverfox should have a better answer.

Simplest would be to discharge through a resistor in series with an ordinary diode. This will take it all the way down to around 0.6-0.7V but this is just as good, if not better, for your intended purpose.

Silverfox : Hi, is it going to work on single AA ?

I've tried that before, didn't work for me. Don't you thing 0.7 volt is too low ?

BTW, how put mutiple quotes in a single reply ? Thanks

Hello Vbeez,

No. You will note that I mentioned that you will have to adjust it for your use.

Dropping a single NiMh cell down to 0.7 volts is not the end of the world, however I wouldn't leave it there for any length of time.
